Barbaros Altuğ has for many years reviewed books and interviewed writers for monthly magazines. He founded the Istanbul Copyright Agency in 1999 in order to represent Turkish writers abroad and in their homeland Turkey, some of whom are the most popular and critically acclaimed in Turkey as well as on the international scene.
Altuğ edited Yazarların İstanbul’u, an anthology of works from twelve writers published in Turkish and Greek in 2009. He published his first book of articles on art, literature, travels Bazıları Siyah Sever (Some Like It Black) in 2013.
Altuğ’s first novel biz burada iyiyiz (we're good here) was published in July 2014. He is currently writing a second novel and lives in Istanbul.
